If you are in labor or if your baby is already born, after-delivery adoption is still an option. Contact us when you’re in labor, from the hospital, or even after you’ve returned home with the baby. We are always here to help you through the last-minute hospital adoption process!
It’s not uncommon for mothers to choose adoption from the hospital. This type of adoption is usually referred to as a last-minute adoption or after-delivery adoption.
Giving your baby up for adoption at birth is an incredibly brave and selfless decision. Whatever your reasons may be, if you’re not ready to be a parent, adoption is a responsible and loving option. When you choose after-delivery adoption, you’re providing a waiting family with a most precious and long-awaited gift. At the same time, you’re giving your baby the gift of a life filled with love and opportunities.
At Angel Adoption, we understand that thinking about after-delivery adoption is stressful, and we’re here to help. Many service providers and hospitals already have processes in place when it comes to adopting a newborn from the hospital, and birthmothers who choose last-minute adoptions retain the same rights and considerations as any other prospective birthmother.
Even though it is a last-minute adoption, you will still have full control of your adoption plan.
Our team of adoption coordinators is well-equipped to handle last-minute adoptions from the hospital and will work quickly to coordinate everything necessary for your hospital adoption plan. All of our waiting families are prepared and are willing to travel anywhere in the country at a moment’s notice. Giving up your baby at the hospital for adoption may seem overwhelming, but we can help make the process as smooth as possible.
To anyone considering adoption: this is such a selfless decision. It is a pure act of love. Do not feel ashamed. You are wonderful.

Before a family is eligible to adopt, they must complete an adoption home study through their state. The home study is a thorough and invasive process that lasts about three to four months on average. It includes a full FBI background check and an in-depth evaluation of their finances, marital stability, lifestyle, personalities, physical and mental health, medical history, background, education, reasons for adopting, and much more. All families who successfully complete this difficult process are prepared to be parents in every way and will provide a safe, stable, and loving home for your baby. You can be confident that whichever family you choose will give your child the best possible life.
Yes. Almost all states allow for birthmothers to receive a certain amount of financial support after the adoption takes place. Most states also allow the adoptive family to provide assistance towards your medical bills.
