dear expectant mother
Words can’t express how much we appreciate you taking the time to look through our profile. We can’t begin to imagine all of the thoughts and emotions that are rushing through you constantly as you try to make this choice. We know this process must feel beyond hopeless at times, but you have found the strength and courage to come this far and that makes you remarkable!
If we are lucky enough to be a part of your decision, please know it would be the greatest honor and blessing to bring you and your little one into our family and be part of the miracle that is their life. We can say with absolute certainty that your child will be loved unconditionally and adored beyond measure. Everyone around us is already so excited to meet him or her and welcome them into our world. Your child will grow up spending time with family and friends on a regular basis, surrounded by laughter and competitive but friendly games of all sorts. The cousins are already looking forward to adding a new member to the “cousin weekend” club and can’t wait to show them the ropes and explore the amazing world around us.
We hope our profile can show you a glimpse into what that life would look like, and we wish you peace and calm with the choice that you make for you and your child, whatever that might be.

About Us
We live in Nebraska, a short way from where Nevin was born. We met through an online dating site, ironically when we were both getting on to delete our profiles. We’ve been growing together ever since through our love of exploring, reading, family, and just spending time together. Most weekends we are traveling to see family or friends, but we also work hard to protect time for our little family as well. If Nevin has some free time, you can usually find him reading, tinkering in the garage, or playing with his 3D printer, usually with some hot tea close by. Tara is working on getting back into crafting more for herself and working on developing some watercolor skills. She can usually be found in her craft room with a comfort movie or show playing while she works on her latest project.
Our Home & Pets
We live at the end of a cul-de-sac in a split-level home with five bedrooms and lots of space to play. We have a fenced-in backyard and a walking path right behind us. We have a dog and two cats that kind of wish they were outside animals, until their paws get cold. The cul-de-sac is perfect for littles because of the limited traffic, and it’s often used as a racetrack by our neighbors’ young kids. The schools are within walking distance and our city is growing too! Most recently they added a waterpark and just finished a “white water” park on our river. We are most excited about the huge improvements that have been made to the city park just a short walk away.
Our Extended Family
We both come from large families, which has led to some amazing adventures. We are surrounded by good people, in both our families and chosen families. We have several friends with young families that are waiting, as patiently as we all can, for a little addition to join our gatherings.
Growing up Tara’s summers were spent going on a yearly camping trip with extended family or visiting the grandparents’ houses alone or with cousins. Tara has three younger brothers; one is married with a son who is almost two and another little on the way! The middle two brothers have fur “children” that hold special places in all our hearts. The holidays are a little chaotic between all the humans and pets who get together, but we wouldn’t change a thing.
Nevin is the youngest of his siblings, a brother and two sisters. Between all of them, there are seven nieces and nephews ranging from 8 to 18 years old. We try to get the cousins together every summer for a “cousins week or weekend” at our house. These get-togethers are also welcome chaos filled with games, fun food, and geocaching adventures.
What Led Us To Adoption
We make it a point to go on trips whenever we can, so picking just our favorites was a little tricky!
Nevin’s favorite was visiting Door County, WI, with Tara’s family. We were able to go for a whole week, and the area was a new experience for Nevin. Nebraska has trees, but it’s not the same as camping in Wisconsin. We got to go on some great hikes and see the sunset over Lake Michigan every night. We also made a trip to the other side of the peninsula, and the lake seemed like it could have been an ocean from the way the coast looked.
Tara’s favorite trip was a surprise for Nevin! We were able to visit the Pacific Northwest for a few days, and it was everything that Twilight said it would be. We saw the smallest part of both Oregon and Washington, but it was enough to confirm that it is Tara’s happy place: ocean, mountains, cities, and towns, not to mention the rain.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
