dear expectant mother
Dear Expectant Mother,
We know this is a big decision and emotions are everywhere. You are a wonderful person who is doing everything you can to make the world a better place for you and your little one. Although we could never understand what you are feeling and going through, we are ready to help and provide for your child. You are taking a huge step to do what is best for your family. We are so thankful that you are taking the time to even consider our family.
We promise that if chosen, your little one will have the opportunities to experience the world, art, sports, and anything else they choose. They will get to grow up with wonderful animals who will be there to love, support, and protect them. We look forward to creating new traditions and having our world revolve around this little one. We are ready to have them be the light of our lives.
We always knew we would adopt to help someone through a very hard time and decision in their life—to care for, protect, have unconditional love, and so much more for another human being. Thank you for taking the time to look through our profile. If we get the opportunity to meet you, we hope we can bring smiles, laughter, and a calming, safe feeling to your little one but also to you, where you can be content with your decision and know they are in good hands.
Love,
Samantha and Steven
About Us
Hello! We are Samantha and Steven. We are extremely loving and kind, and we both enjoy our jobs. Steven works IT at a state college and teaches technical theater classes. He also works for a touring house as their lighting director. Samantha works from home half the time and at the pool the other half; she is the aquatics director for all ages and abilities. We enjoy board games, reading, hanging out and snuggling with the pets, taking the dog for a walk, and teaching him new tricks. We also love adventures and traveling. Our jobs are flexible enough to enjoy camping and trips to national parks (as we slowly try to visit them all) as well as trips to see friends and family and go out of the country. We believe we complement each other when it comes to having fun and getting things done in addition to many other things.
Our Home & Pets
Our house is nestled on the edge of a suburb near several cul-de-sacs. We are within walking distance of several schools and parks. The community center here is also wonderful! Within a short drive are lots of trails to walk and hike. There are a few nearby locations with water, parks, the airport, and mountains for all kinds of fun. Our house used to be an in-home daycare, so there are fun safety features throughout. We have a dog named Hermes and three cats: Rasputin, Hawthorne (Hawlk), and Maurice. They are everything to us. Maurice joins in on game nights by sitting in his own chair and supervising. Rasputin is all snuggles. Hawlk is our sweet baby girl, and Hermes’ favorite word is walk.
Our Extended Family
Samantha’s mom is very close to us in a lot of ways. She lives close to us, and we see her all of the time. She goes on trips with us or pet sits while we are out. She is a baker and a teacher. We do meals together often, take our dogs on hikes, and just hang out frequently. Her grandfather is in Michigan. They do weekly chats and see each other when they can.
Steven’s parents live abroad in Austria. They email and do Zoom calls. His dad has been out a few times recently, and it's always nice to see him. His two brothers and three nephews all live in Maine. We do Christmas with Samantha’s mom with lots of little traditions there and New Year’s with Steven’s family in Maine.
We also have several friends we have been best friends with for a while. To us, they are a part of our extended family. Most live in Ohio but not all as after-college life takes us everywhere. Each year we do a Christmas/New Year’s celebration with them in various locations. We do game nights often, and we aim to do at least one camping trip a year. Video chats are also very frequent.
What Led Us To Adoption
We are looking forward to adoption as this was our first choice! We love helping others. This is a way for us to grow our family and help another family along the way. All of our pets (past and present) have been rescues who we have given a home to. Some, like our dog Hermes, even chose us. On top of adoption being our first choice for many reasons, we also have friends who adopted or are planning to and a few family members who were adopted.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
