dear expectant mother
Dear Expectant Mother,
We want you to know we appreciate what a difficult decision this is for you, and we have nothing but admiration and respect for the courage and love that it takes to consider this. Life can be full of surprises and unexpected obstacles. Whatever circumstances led to you considering adoption, we are amazed by such a selfless act. We would be honored and humbled to be entrusted with your child and would strive every day to prioritize their well being just as you are doing now. We are open to whatever relationship is most comfortable for you. We believe being honest from the beginning is the best path for your child and our family. Your child will know from an early age the story of their biological family.
We are very fortunate to live comfortable lives with supportive families. Our careers enable us to have ample resources to raise a well-rounded child with plenty of opportunities. Our marriage is built on a strong foundation of trust and respect, and we feel very lucky to have met each other at a young age. While we have found success in our careers and marriage, we did not find that same success in our journey to conceive. When we got married, we knew our primary desire was to raise a child in a loving home. We didn’t know at the time that this desire would lead us to adoption, but now we are so thankful to be on this journey. We intend to bring your child up surrounded by love, support, honesty, and happiness. We feel adopting your child would add meaning and joy to our lives, and we are forever grateful to you for this gift.

About Us
Hello! We are Michelle and Philip. We met in college through a mutual friend and then realized we were both in the same art history class. We got married after dating for five years and have been married for nine years. We live active lives and enjoy spending time outdoors and traveling together. Our hobbies include camping, hiking, and running together as a family. Philip is an avid musician and can be found playing guitar or writing songs in his free time. Michelle enjoys spending time with friends and bird watching. Philip is a doctor in the Navy, and Michelle works for the government as an environmental scientist. Our typical weekday includes getting home from work and taking a family walk around our neighborhood, cooking together, and eating dinner as a family. We are looking forward to sharing our love of nature and travel with our future family.
Our Home & Pets
We currently live less than a mile away from Michelle’s parents and sister and love being close to family. We own a two-bedroom townhome in a small community, walking distance to beaches, parks, and excellent schools. We share our home with Jackie, our retriever/hound rescue who is always the fastest dog at the dog park and the first to get to the ball. She is very patient with our daughter and knows small people equals extra treats and lots of pets. Since we are so close to family at this duty station, we couldn’t imagine a more perfect time to grow our own.
Our Extended Family
We both come from big families. Michelle is the eldest of four sisters, and Philip is the third of four siblings. We are close to all our family and love to spend as much time with them as we can. Fortunately, we live near Michelle’s family and get to spend lots of time with her parents, her younger sister, and their two preschool-aged sons. We take turns hosting family dinners between our three households every week.
Michelle’s mom helps with childcare while we are at work, and we are so grateful for the close bond Perrin has developed with her grandmother. Michelle’s other two sisters live farther away, but we are able to get the whole family together for a ski or camping trip every year.
We don't live as close to Philip’s family, but we love to visit them on the holidays. He has a sister with four children and two brothers. When we all get together, our favorite activity is going out to the family ranch and barbecuing.
Our Adoption Story
A few years into our marriage, we started trying for a child with no success. When we were not able to have children, it was a natural decision to pursue adoption. In 2023 we adopted our daughter, Perrin, and she is one of the greatest joys of our life. We are excited to grow our family again through adoption and see our daughter grow up with a sibling close in age. We matched with our daughter’s birthmother early in her second trimester. We were able to build a strong bond throughout her pregnancy, and we continue that relationship through texting and sharing photos.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
