dear expectant mother
Dear Expectant Mother,
Thank you for your consideration of us. We can’t even begin to understand what you are going through right now, so just know how grateful we will be if you choose us to love, protect, and raise your precious baby.
We have been married for 15 years and have struggled with having a biological child but want nothing more than to become parents. Unfortunately Melissa had to have a hysterectomy due to fertility problems. All we have ever wanted is to have a family. We have weighed all of our options, and we know adoption is the path meant for us. As you examine your options, we would like you to know we have a loving family who has been waiting for us to have children. Your child will have so much love in their life if you choose us.
We are in a great place to start our family and to love, provide for, and protect a child. We own a house in a small town, we both have good jobs, and we have so much love to give. We hope this letter finds you well and helps with your decision. We look forward to having contact with you and getting to know you.
Melissa & Chad
About Us
Hi! We are Melissa and Chad. We have been married for 15 years, and we’ve been together for 18 years. We love to take walks around our neighborhood when it is nice out. We also like to participate in local activities. We like playing games, watching movies, reading, and seeing family and friends. When we can, we like to go on mini vacations. We like to stay in cabins, going for hikes in the woods. Melissa is a Nationally Certified Medical Assistant, and Chad is a Maintenance Technician.
Our Home & Pets
We live in a nice, small town. There are some great schools in our district. Our neighborhood is family friendly and has events throughout the year for families. We live near the Mississippi River in Iowa. We have two cats: 15-year-old Turbo Ninja Kitty and nine-year-old Squeaky Chew Toy. They are both indoor cats. There is a drive-in theater not too far away from us that we love to go to. There is also a pumpkin patch with activities near us.
Our Extended Family
We both have pretty big extended families. Melissa has her parents, a sister and her husband, and their son and daughter. Melissa is the oldest of 19 grandchildren on her mother’s side. Most of the cousins have children. Her father’s side has four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Chad just recently lost his father. He has his mother and sister. Chad’s sister has a husband and three children: a daughter and two sons. Chad also has a lot of cousins on his mother’s side, who also have children. His father’s side has four grandchildren (two adopted) and three great-grandchildren.
We make sure we get together for Christmas and sometimes Thanksgiving. We try to go to our nieces or nephews’ school and sporting events as well. Melissa’s parents still live at the farmhouse she grew up in. Her sister has moved to Wisconsin with her husband. Melissa’s niece just started college. Chad’s sister lives the farthest in West Virginia. Recently Chad’s mother, niece, and her husband and son moved to Tennessee.
We have some good news! Our oldest niece had a baby boy in November 2022. We try to see them as much as possible. We can’t get enough of him and would love to have our own baby to love and cuddle.
What Led Us To Adoption
We made the decision to adopt after not being able to have biological children. Unfortunately Melissa had some problems that led to a hysterectomy. We started talking about children before we were even married. We wanted to start a family right away, and we are so excited to become parents. We went through all of our options, and adoption was the best choice for us and what excites us most when we talk about growing our family. We just really want to start our family.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
