dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

We are so thankful you are considering us to raise the precious baby you’ll be giving life to very soon. We cannot imagine the magnitude of this decision, but we would very much like to give your child a warm and loving home and raise them to reach their full potential in life. We cannot wait to grow as a family, recreate all of our most memorable childhood experiences, and create new memories together.

We’ll spend lots of time outside, whether that’s in our backyard with our pups and a swing set, hiking to waterfalls in the mountains, or building sandcastles at the beach. We have loads of books ready to read, boxes and boxes of stuffed animals to cuddle with, and lots of furry four-legged friends to spend hours playing with. Matt will take everyone camping and tell stories around the campfire. Kristin will do arts and crafts and take care of every boo-boo with the kindness and compassion she shows her patients every day.

Should you choose us, your baby will have every opportunity to learn, explore, and find their passion in life. They can try as many sports as they want, do any science experiment they can think of, or sit in the grass and draw or paint to their heart’s content. We’ll love your baby with all our hearts, and we’d be honored if you chose us to give them a home.

About Us

Hi! We are Matt and Kristin. We have been together for ten years and married for eight years. Our first date was amazing and lasted seven hours! We enjoy traveling; we have been to many of the Caribbean islands together, and experiencing the countries of Europe is on our list for the future. Matt is a former non-profit executive and is currently working as a government contracting consultant. Kristin is a family nurse practitioner and works as a primary care provider. Matt enjoys playing golf and watching football with his friends, while Kristin enjoys barre classes and Pilates. We also enjoy relaxing after a long day by cuddling on the couch with our dogs and watching some of our favorite TV shows.

Our Home & Pets

We have a two-story, five-bedroom home with an open-concept main level in a suburban neighborhood next to twenty acres of publicly owned woodlands. Our house sits in the middle of two family-friendly neighborhoods, both of which are perfect for walking and riding bikes and are full of young families. We also love animals. We have eight rescue animals: four dogs and four cats. We have made one of the large bedrooms into a child’s playroom and fenced in our large backyard. Both are perfect for children, pups, and parents alike to relax together and with friends.

Our Extended Family

Kristin’s family lives close by, while Matt’s family is spread out over several states in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, from Virginia to Maine, Ohio, and New York. Our families are excited for us to take this next step to expand our family. Kristin is an only child, while Matt has a sister who lives outside the United States and many cousins ranging in age from two to forty.

We always enjoy visiting Matt’s large extended family, playing with his little cousins, and getting a glimpse into our future, when we get to add a second little one to the mix. We cannot wait to share Thanksgiving dinners, decorating the Christmas tree, summers on the beach playing with kids and dogs, and our annual summer trips.

Our Adoption Story

We’re excited to adopt because we want to make our first adopted child a sibling. It was a long and trying journey to complete our first adoption, but it was well and truly worth it! A number of our close friends are either adopted parents or were adopted themselves, and it truly brings us so much joy to think about growing our family a second time.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
