dear expectant mother
Dear Expecting Mother/Parents,
Thank you for taking the time to read our letter! We cannot fathom how confusing and difficult this time must be as you decide on the best option for you and your precious baby. We admire you so much for considering adoption. We appreciate the time you take to consider us. Know that we promise to respect your wishes and whatever level of openness you want to have with your child.
If you choose us for your child, know that laughter will be ever present. Whether we are traveling to some of our favorite destinations, picking out a new book to read from our local library, or playing our favorite party games with friends, family, and pets, fun and happiness will always be present. Your child will be taught an appreciation of musical theater, a curiosity for medicine and science, and a desire to learn about and experience the wide variety of cultures in our world. Your child will play sports to their heart's content and always have a nourishing meal to power their drive, especially the family tradition of homemade lasagna. Your child will have a life filled with love from family members from all over the country lining up to visit, spoil, and cherish them. They will have sleepovers at grandparents’ houses and parties and trips with their cousins. Your child will be safe, supported, and, above all else, unconditionally loved.
We want you to know we respect you and your decision. We want to be there for you and your child should you need extra support. And as you journey through life, we want you to never have doubts and know that you made the perfect decision.
With love,
Kristina and Grant
About Us
If you could describe us in one word, it would be…LAUGHTER! Kristina is a pharmacist working in public health and an avid book reader with two book clubs online with her lifelong friends. Grant is an emergency room EMT and an ambulance agency assistant chief voluntarily serving his city. He has weekly Dungeons & Dragons game nights with his friends. We met in Tacoma, Washington, by the whims of fate, and by that we mean the magic of online dating! We worked opposite schedules but instantly connected over queso and bean dip by sharing similar family-centered lifestyles and being genuine, hard-working people. We love weekends at home sipping coffee, taking long walks or runs around the neighborhood with our dog Desi, trying new restaurants, watching the Steelers, or catching a show.
Our Home & Pets
We have a beautiful home in central Virginia, between Washington D.C. and Richmond, which gives us easy access to city events and airports. We love the beautiful foliage on our daily walk around the neighborhood with our Australian shepherd, Desi, and all his dog friends! We often stop and chat with our neighbors, exchanging stories, life updates, and cookies. Our neighborhood has two parks, an elementary school nearby, and our favorite place, the sharing library that was custom-made by Kristina’s dad, on our property. There are many local hiking trails and a historical but lively downtown that we have come to know and love. We have an extremely cuddly orange cat named Hobbes, who thinks he is a dog, chasing Desi as often as he gets chased!
Our Extended Family
We are fortunate to have an extended family that spreads across almost the entire country. We always have family to visit and new places to explore. We have parents in California, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Our cousins are in Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, South Carolina, and Pennsylvania. Aunts and uncles live everywhere in between. We have a close relationship with Kristina’s brother, sister-in-law, and two nieces. We regularly drive to Penn State for football games with them. We consider Kristina’s best friend and her daughter to be family and make it a priority to visit with them several times per year. We love traveling with others when we can. A European cruise with Mom and Dad and know that you made the perfect decision and a half marathon weekend in another city are some trips we have enjoyed.
We value spending time with family during holidays. The more people, the better! Homemade eggnog, Italian Christmas cookies, seven fishes on Christmas Eve, and homemade pasta-making days with Grandma and cousins are some of our favorite family traditions that are never skipped. We can often be seen winning at Mario Party at gatherings, making pepperoni rolls with Paca (our nieces’ name for Kristina’s dad), and attending as many sporting events with friends as we can.
What Led Us To Adoption
When we learned we were unlikely to have biological children, we started researching adoption. We were excited that the opportunity felt more and more natural as we connected with peers and family who have adopted. We felt a calling as Grant’s step-sister and the man who married us, Grant’s funniest uncle, joined the family through adoption. We have faith that this is where our path is meant to lead us. With our infertility treatments behind us, our journey to parenthood is far from over, and in fact, it is only just beginning!

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
