About Us
We are Brian and Emily, a loving and music-filled couple who met in a local community band in 2014. After years of friendship, we began dating in 2018, got engaged later that year, and married in 2019. Both educators, Brian is a band teacher, and Emily teaches elementary music; we share a passion for inspiring young minds. Brian is hard-working and passionate and has a fun, goofy side that lights up any room. Emily is focused, creative, and an amazing baker who brings joy to those around her. We are go-getters who stay active in our community through music while also enjoying life’s simple pleasures, like taking walks, visiting friends and family, and cooking together. Some of our favorite memories include traveling to new places, trying new foods, and exploring new hobbies. We are excited to grow our family and share our love through adoption.
Our Home & Pets
We live in a quiet subdivision in Northwest Iowa, surrounded by walking paths and a welcoming community. Our two-story home, built in 2013, is cozy and perfect for family life. The local school system, where Emily works, is highly regarded, especially for its excellent music programs. We’re lucky to have some of our best friends as neighbors, adding to the warmth of our community. Our neighborhood is peaceful and family friendly, making it an ideal place to grow and create lasting memories. Our city features great local restaurants, an independent league baseball team, and a community band, and we’re close to the “Ice Cream Capital of the World.”
Our Extended Family
Brian grew up on a dairy farm, where he learned the value of hard work and the joy of being close to nature. Today his brother runs the family farm, and we love visiting to spend time with our nieces and nephew while enjoying the peaceful rural setting. Emily grew up surrounded by her extended family, spending holidays together with traditions like playing epic games of spoons in her grandparents’ basement and watching classic movies. These experiences instilled a deep love for family connections and traditions that we carry forward in our lives. Although our immediate families live in different cities, we make frequent visits to stay close. Emily’s family often joins us for concerts and music events, creating fun and memorable moments together.
Here in our city, we’ve built a chosen family—friends who have become like family. We cherish game nights, shared meals, and outings with them, especially attending local independent league baseball games with their children. These relationships bring so much joy and meaning to our lives. Family, whether by blood or by choice, is central to who we are, and we can’t wait to share these connections and traditions with a child of our own.
What Led Us To Adoption
We have always dreamed of having children and building a loving family. Adoption has held a special place in our lives for years. We've seen the incredible love and deep connections it brings through our godchildren, who were adopted, and a close family friend who was adopted. Emily also has two cousins who were adopted internationally, further showing us the beauty of building a family through adoption. After facing fertility challenges, we knew adoption was the right path for us. We are so excited to embrace this journey and grow our family in this special way.

Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
