dear expectant mother

We wanted to express our gratitude for considering us and for considering adoption. We cannot imagine how difficult this must be for you. We know you love your baby and only want to do what is best for him or her. Our hearts and prayers go out to you in this difficult time.

We have always dreamed of being parents. After we lost our pregnancy and realized we would never be able to have biological children, we were deeply saddened. It felt like we would never be happy again. But then, after a year and a half passed, we were ready to open our hearts to our greatest adventure yet, adoption.

As an adoptee, Elizabeth understands the complexity of this process. She loves her adoptive parents more than anything and is so thankful her birthmother made the difficult choice to continue with the pregnancy and help her find her home. Elizabeth will always love her birthmother and thinks about her often.

If you do choose us, we promise to live a life of kindness, compassion, love, and adventure. We promise to let the baby know how much you love them and how selfless your actions were. Finally, we promise to love our baby unconditionally.

About Us

Hi! We are Elizabeth and Karl! While we met in law school four years ago, what bonds us is our love of travel and animals. We have traveled the world together and cannot wait to one day bring our children with us. Karl is steady and calm, while Elizabeth is enthusiastic and always planning the next adventure. When we aren’t traveling, we can be found at home, binge watching Hulu and sports or hiking with our dog. We also spend a lot of time with our family and friends. Elizabeth enjoys reading and read 59 books in 2024. Karl enjoys trying new recipes, and he is currently learning new ways to make bread.

Our Home & Pets

We are blessed with two pets (Betty Ford and Gremlin) and a loving family. Elizabeth adopted Betty Ford when she was one. We adopted Gremlin when he was five days old; we had to bottlefeed like a baby! We are also fortunate to live in a tight-knit neighborhood with lots of families and children, who are excited to babysit for us in the future. While we have amazing families and fur children, we are ready to open our hearts and homes and to finally be parents. We are so lucky to live in Maryland, a state with so much to do! Both the beach and mountains are within driving distance in addition to amazing child-friendly museums and parks. We are only five minutes from a nurturing pre-K to 12 school where Elizabeth went and are so excited to send our child there.

Our Extended Family

We are both close with our parents and siblings, who are all thrilled we are adopting. We are lucky to have a close-knit extended family. Both our parents live within an hour away, so it is easy to visit them whenever we like. We each have a sibling we are very close to. Elizabeth and her brother enjoy sailing on her brother’s boat. Karl and his sister enjoy cooking and taking the dog for walks.

Karl has a very large extended family and has over 25 cousins! This always makes for eventful holidays. For both of our families, Christmas is the most important holiday. All the family gets together, and we make cookies and go to church. We even have stockings for the pets. We cannot wait to celebrate Christmas as parents!

What Led Us To Adoption

Adoption has always been something we have dreamed of, and now we hope that dream will come true. As an adoptee herself, adoption has always been Elizabeth’s dream. She hopes to open her heart and home to a child as her adoptive parents did for her. Adoption has always been something Karl has been interested in since he has many friends who were adopted. When we found out we could not have biological children, there was no question we would adopt.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
