dear expectant mother
Dear Expectant Mama,
This is a difficult letter to write because it’s so personal and yet we are writing it to someone we’ve never met. We just hope we can convey our deep admiration for you through this letter. We truly cannot imagine the feelings you must be having about this whole process. We want to thank you for spending the time to read our profile and see what we hope to offer a child someday. We know you are going through a lot right now, and we are both incredibly humbled to be considered as a possible home for your baby.
We both love Jesus very much, and our faith and love are things we look forward to sharing with our child one day. One of the silver linings of being married so long before having children is we have both been able to build a firm foundation in our faith as well as in our marriage. This, along with our very supportive families, makes us even more hopeful that we will be able to raise a child in a secure, loving environment.
We live in an incredible place here in small-town Alaska. We have enjoyed some incredible times as a married couple in our beautiful corner of the world: fishing, berry picking, camping, etc. The only thing that could make it better is a child of our own to bring along for the ride. We can’t think of anything more precious than to see these adventures through the eyes of our child.
Chloe and Mike
About Us
We are Mike and Chloe from Alaska. We are saved only by the love and grace of Jesus. We met in 2011 in college and were married in 2014. Mike’s going to be an amazing dad. He’s loving, hardworking, and giving. Chloe cannot wait to be a stay-at-home mom, is a great cook, and has a feisty sense of humor. We love playing, watching, and coaching sports. We love fishing, camping, boating, gardening, and skiing. We live in a quiet, rural area and have many amazing opportunities to be outdoors. We can’t wait to have a child of our own to share our adventures with. We live a peaceful life. When we’re home, we love cooking together, walking our dog Copper around the neighborhood, or having coffee and watching birds come to our feeder. We are truly blessed to live in Alaska and believe there is no better place to have a family.
Our Home & Pets
Our home is on the Kenai Peninsula of Alaska. Our house is on five acres with a big yard. We have great neighbors with young kiddos as well. Our dog, Copper, is a Lab/husky mix we got from the pound when she was just six weeks old. She will turn ten this summer and is the best dog. She was so sweet with our foster baby and would even bring her stuffed animals when the baby would cry. We live a short drive away from the ocean, the mountains, the river, tons of lakes, and the best salmon fishing in the world. We have a wonderful community with a supportive church family, great school district, and amazing medical care available to us.
Our Extended Family
Mike’s parents live ten minutes down the road. He is an only child, and his parents are so excited to be grandparents. They have a huge garden, and we have learned so much about growing food from them. MIke’s mom is extremely hard-working and will be the most amazing grandma. She has also taught us how to can salmon and preserve jams from wild berries. We help every year with their harvest, and September is full of processing the wonderful food we collect.
Chloe’s family is much larger! She is the second of seven siblings, and they all live in the area. We all get together often for BBQs and yard games. Her sisters are her best friends and are always at our house. She also has aunts and uncles and cousins in the area. Many of her cousins have young children and are always having big get-togethers for holidays or birthday parties. It is so fun, and we can’t wait to add to the craziness with a baby of our own.
We both have been so blessed with amazing, supportive families. Every one of them is excited to be a part of our adoption and love on our future baby.
What Led Us To Adoption
In 2016, a couple years into our marriage, we found out we couldn’t have children biologically. We pretty quickly decided we would love to adopt. We became licensed as foster parents and had a newborn placement until she was reunified with her birthmother at seven months. That was one of the hardest things we’ve ever been through, but we learned just how deeply we can love a baby who doesn’t share any of our DNA. That was a life-changing experience for us and truly opened up our hearts for adoption. We still have a good relationship with the birthfamily and keep in regular contact with them. We spent the last six or so years building our forever home out of pocket. It is finally finished and ready for our future baby.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
